Paul is the CTO and founder of Advance7 which he established in 1989. Paul’s IT career began in 1980, with a range of jobs including hardware and software engineer with IBM, pre-sales consultant with NAS (now Hitachi Data Systems) and European network manager for National Semiconductor.
As well as writing a book on the subject of IT problem diagnosis, Paul presents at industry events in the UK and in the US, and regularly blogs on the strangely named LoveMyTool network management community site. In work, Paul’s time is split between meeting clients to discuss projects and developing people. Outside work, Paul is a keen weight lifter and occasional cyclist.
Rachel has been with Advance7 from the beginning. She started as an office administrator, and gradually migrated to take on the role of Marketing Administrator. In 2001 she took a career break and completed a diploma in Sports Therapy and Fitness Instruction. However, she couldn’t keep away, and in June 2006, Rachel returned to the company in the position of Marketing Director.
She is a keen runner, swimmer and also enjoys going to the gym.
Nikki joined Advance7 in 2004 after 20 years working for multi-national electronics companies where she gained her hands-on experience progressing from an input clerk to Financial Controller of a multi-million pound group.
Nikki’s main interests outside of work centre around dogs. She has 3 rescue dogs of her own & spends much of her spare time promoting, volunteering and fundraising for various dog rescue organisations.
Mike moved from in house legal work, through transactional banking, and ultimately into General Management CEO and MD roles. His principal strengths lie in creating and leading teams, as well as coaching individuals to become excellent line managers and leaders of the future. Recent posts include CEO at ABC International Bank and General Manager at the London Branch of Qatar National Bank.
